White Risk is a comprehensive platform for avalanche prevention and consists of four modules: TOUR, EXPLORE, LEARN and PRO. The TOUR module is available on the website and in the White Risk app, with changes continuously synchronised between the two. The White Risk app also provides up-to-date information about the snow and avalanche situation in Switzerland in the form of avalanche bulletins and snow and weather data.

Planned tours can be viewed offline in the White Risk app. You can also save maps and map layers offline so that you don't need an internet connection to access them.

The Pro Presenter and downloaded media from White Risk Pro can also be used offline.

The White Risk web applications (EXPLORE, LEARN, TOUR and PRO) are available online in your Internet browser and therefore require an Internet connection. However, they do not need to be installed on your computer.

Yes! Selected features of White Risk can be used free of charge with the free plan. You'll find an overview of the plans above. You can also download the White Risk app for free from the App Store.

To redeem a coupon, you'll first need to log in with your account. Then go to your user account and enter the code under 'Coupons'.

Student coupons allow students or participants in an avalanche course to take advantage of the same opportunities as with a standard plan for a limited period of time. In order to purchase student coupons, you need a pro plan. You can buy coupons for any number of classes with up to 50 students per class and a maximum validity of 180 days. Each student needs his own White Risk Account and can redeem the individual coupon under User Account -> Coupons. The price depends on the number of students and the period of time the coupons are valid for. Example: For 3 months and 30 students a coupon costs CHF 3.20.

Within your user account you can review the status of your plan and edit your settings at any time. You can also cancel or renew your plan or change your payment details.

White Risk offers you the following subscription models:

Over the years, White Risk has developed considerably in terms of content, technology and visualization. The service is continuously being expanded and updates are performed regularly. The swisstopo maps the specific layers can be updated continuously.

This means that you are always working with the most recent version of White Risk and the latest avalanche information, do not have to worry about installations and can use it any time, anywhere you have access to the Internet.

The costs of the extensive service offered by White Risk is covered by the annual plan fees.

You can pay easily and conveniently by Mastercard, Visa, American Express, PayPal, Post Finance or TWINT.

With your payment you will receive an annual subscription, which will be renewed for another year after expiration. The subscription fee is automatically debited to the appropriate extent by the payment method specified. You can cancel the plan at any time in your user account. One week before the expiry of the plan you will receive an email reminding you that the plan is about to expire and will either be renewed automatically or you will have to renew it manually in your user account.

If the plan has not been renewed, it will be downgraded to the free version. Your account and all its data remain active.

Invoices can be issued only for 10 or more Standard or Pro plans. Please note that the plans are not automatically renewed upon expiry.
